JOB DESCRIPTION :-
The Senior Cost accountant will be based in Bangalore, India reporting to the Manager Costing. The major functions of this position include:
• Assist Director/ Sr Manager of Wholesale Cost Accounting in managing functions within the Divisional Cost Department.
• Works within a team while demonstrating respect for RL corporate values.
• Provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers.
Primary responsibilities:
• Standard costing & daily costing runs
• Month End Close
• Costing for NA and collaboration across regions
• Monthly Cost Variance Analysis
• Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Accountabilities / Tasks:
• Setting standard costs and reviewing secondary costs and resetting the standard costs
• Collaborates effectively with the Production team providing efficient flow of information required to cost inventory items
• Provides meaningful analysis of Purchase Price Variance’s when requested
• Completes assigned month-end financial closing tasks and provides requested data for periodic forecasts
• Cost Variance analysis includes development of a monthly forecast\annual budget, analysis of results to the forecast\annual budget and development of analytical reports to effectively communicate results.
• Provide a due diligence review of proposed standard costs.
• Responsible for timely and supported responses to internal and external audit requests and SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance controls
• Completes ad hoc analysis as assigned
• Special projects and analysis at manager’s discretion.
