The Trade Finance function is a central function to manage the funding requirement of the TSL Group including European operations, through Trade financing structures and arrangements. The person will be required to assess requirements for trade finance solutions within TSL and its domestic and overseas group companies, understand the needs of the business teams, be aware of the various Trade finance products, rules, guidelines laid down by RBI and other regulatory bodies including application of the accounting treatment. The person will be required to work with multiple stakeholders, banks and financial institutions, negotiate the terms and conditions in the legal agreement and implement internal systems and processes for the function.
Job responsibilities:
- Interact with multiple business teams across TSL and Group companies for assessing Trade finance related requirements
- Work alongside business teams like Marketing and Sales, Exports, Marketing Finance, Financial Reporting Center, Procurement team, F&A, Legal etc to execute domestic and international Trade finance
- Interact with banks and financial institutions to seek inputs on available solutions
- Be aware of the global events, influencing the business
- Preparation of internal papers and presentation of business case
- Work with the lawyers to finalize the documents for the Trade finance related arrangements with banks, specially for the offshore entities
- Monitor bank covenants and ensure compliance of covenants
- Preparation of MIS on regular intervals for making key reporting to the senior management, preparation of Board notes
