JOB DESCRIPTION :-

Techno-functional role in Audit Data & Analytics (D&A) team that requires developing expertise in KPMG proprietary tools and the underlying business rules. You will be a part of a team that is responsible for processing multiple datasets extracted from client ERP systems to provide standard reports, audit work papers and insights to the Audit engagement teams. You will also be developing solutions which will increase process efficiencies and assist Audit teams to perform Risk assessment and substantive procedures using the stack of approved tools and technologies.

The Senior Associate 2 will be predominantly responsible for one or more of the below:

Execution

  • Lead a team supporting execution of client engagements
  • Independently lead the client engagements and work directly with the engagement teams
  • Work with the client’s IT team to obtain data from their respective ERPs and help team members to resolve issues, if any
  • Work with KPMG engagement teams to interpret the results and provide meaningful audit  insights to understand the reports
  • Prepare and review documents related to data processing
  • Develop proficient understanding of D&A tools and capabilities with a focus on one or two sub-modules such as Journal entry testing, Sub-ledger analysis around O2C, P2P etc.
  • Debug stored procedure performance tune and resolve issues, if any, with limited guidance, when processing large data sets and propose possible solutions
  • Prepare and review required documents supporting the engagement with utmost attention to details and highest quality

Development

  • Design, code, verify, test, document, amend and refactor moderately complex programs/scripts. Apply the agreed standards and tools, to achieve a well-engineered result. Review own work and  meet the software development standards
  • Apply data analysis, design, modelling, and quality assurance techniques, based upon a detailed understanding of business processes, to establish, modify or maintain data structures and associated components
  • Actively participate in the design, development and implementation of fixes and enhancements to existing modules or new modules
  • Assist or lead in development of operational and/or engagement team related routines in the chosen technology
  • Lead testing of sub-modules for new product releases; working with the Product Integrity team

Quality

  • Adhere to delivery checklist, follow all the best practices preparer and checker process effectively to attain targeted quality score
  • Keep track of high performing areas as well as area with opportunities for improvements to be updated in the repository
  • Ensure that the engagements are delivered within budget and time
  • Ensure that documents are prepared and reviewed with no quality issue
  • Ensure that CRM (project management tool) is updated on time with the most recent information

People

  • Build positive relationships within all the stakeholders such as Engagement teams, Business Unit leads and Client contacts
  • Support managers in identified areas and proactively drive the action items for effective results and people well-being
  • Facilitate the new hires training on internal D&A tools.
  • Provide guidance and support on processes and quality assessments
  • Involvement in ongoing and new initiatives
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions. Educate new hires on importance of documentation in Audit  
  • Demonstrate accountability and willingness to stretch beyond regular hours when needed
  • Guide and coach professionals as a performance manager on their career-growth and provide continuous feedback on their overall performance
  • Work towards nominating self for different initiatives
  • Inculcate and exhibit KPMG values in everyday conduct
  • Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior all the times
