Tata Steel has a large investor base of approximately 50 lakh investors post the sub-division activity of the equity shares and amalgamation of three listed subsidiary companies. The investors have to be regularly serviced on various corporate actions. The investor enquiries are received through emails, phone calls, letters, walk-ins at Head Office. Additionally, the Company receives significant requests for claims from Investor Education Protection Fund. The Company has many shareholders with shares held in physical form with legacy issues (approx. 1 lakh). All of these activities require dedicated team and prompt investor service. It also requires liaison with the investors confidently and politely.
To assist the Company Secretary and Chief Legal Officer (Corporate & Compliance) and the Head, in handling routine investor matters at Head Office, a position is proposed at an IL6 level, designated as Assistant Manager – Investor Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible to handle and resolve the investor queries received by the Company
- Assist in handling claims received under Investor Education & Protection Fund and Suspense Escrow Demat Account
- Assist in convening of Annual General Meeting and other general meetings
- Assist in building systems and processes to better handle investor services
- Liaisons with Registrar & Transfer Agent, Banks, Depositories, IEPF Authority, Stock Exchanges to handle investor matters
- Support and assist the Company Secretary & Chief Legal Officer (Corporate & Compliance) and Head in handling investor matters
