The genesis of Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd (GRSE) dates back to 1884 when it started its journey as a small workshop to repair vessels of River Steam Navigation Company. In 1934, the Company was registered under the Indian Companies Act, 1913 and started its new journey as Garden Reach Workshops (GRW) Limited. The Company was acquired by the Government of India in the year 1960 and there was no looking back since then. The 1st warship of Independent India, INS Ajay was delivered to the Indian Navy in 1961, within one year of being taken over by the Ministry of Defence. GRSE, a Mini Ratna Category 1 Company has delivered 107 warships to Indian Navy, Indian Coast Guard, Mauritius Coast Guard and Seychelles Coast Guard since 1960 & is the only Indian Shipyard to achieve this Centennial Mark. The shipyard has received ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 and 50001 certification. The 1st warship for export by India was delivered by GRSE to Mauritius in 2014, Offshore Patrol Vessel, CGS Barracuda. The Shipyard has built a wide array of vessels, from world class Frigates to Fast Attack Crafts. GRSE is the only Defence Shipyard to have diversified into engineering business with a product profile of pre-fabricated steel bridges, various deck machinery items & assembly/ testing/ overhauling of marine diesel engines.

WRITTEN TEST FOR ASSISTANT MANAGER :-
(i) Written Test will be scheduled tentatively on 06 Mar 2022 in 04 cities (Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai).
(ii) No TA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the written test.
(iii)Pattern of Written Test will be as follows:
Part-I - Discipline Knowledge Related
60 Questions For 60 Marks
Part-II - General Management Aptitude Test (Mental Ability, Reasoning, English,
Data Analysis, Numerical Ability etc.) Related 25 Questions For 25 Marks
• Duration of Written test – 90 minutes
• Question paper language - Bi-lingual
(English and Hindi).
• Question paper type - Objective type
with Multiple Choices Questions.
(iv) In case any ambiguity / dispute arise on account of interpretation in versions other than English, the English version will prevail.
INTERVIEW & SELECTION PROCESS FOR ASSISTANT MANAGERS :-
Based on the performance in Written Test, candidates will be shortlisted / called to appear for Interview. Candidates appearing for interview have to produce final mark-sheet/certificate before interview.
