The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company started in 1898 with just 13 workers producing bicycle and carriage tires. From that first bicycle tire, Goodyear quickly grew to become the world's largest tire company, a title it earned in 1916 when it adopted the slogan "More people ride on Goodyear tires than on any other kind."
Today, Goodyear has facilities across the world and annual sales of more than $15 billion. In addition to Goodyear-brand tires, we produce other well-respected international brand names, including Dunlop, Kelly, Fulda, Sava and Debica, and our non-tire business provides rubber products and polymers for a variety of markets.
As finance representative and part of Factory Operating Committee (FOC) in the plant, FBP is supposed to work closely with the Manufacturing team and is responsible for following activities :
- Rolling forecast and prepare Manufacturing Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for next year in line with given guidelines from local Leadership Team and Region Office and its upload in Hyperion.
- Monthly factory cost analysis; prepare and present manufacturing review deck to local and regional team as per defined timeline and guidance.
- Participate in the Plant optimization activities and lead Zero Loss Analysis in the plant.
- Conduct weekly/monthly cost meetings and provide data to Manufacturing team during month for review and better control. Review all Cost and Capital requisition before release to control cost.
- Close control of the cost in line with the budget to help Manufacturing Team deliver as per target.
- Responsible for Factory Operating Committee (FOC) matters. 100% participation in all factory related activities as FOC member.
- Support manufacturing team in identifying the cost reduction and cost control and other areas of opportunities.
- Prepare inter-co sales price (V-price) as per policy and guidelines.
- Ad hoc financial analysis, support during CBA negotiation, support to Financial Planning & Analysis dept for capex proposal evaluation.
- Co-ordinate with internal auditors for internal audit within the plant scope.
- Support to Controlling team as and when required.
