JOB DESCRIPTION :-
IKG is seeking a Cost Accountant based in Hyderabad- India to support the Costing Supervisor in validating that all cost/financial transactions are in accordance with GAAP, IKG policies and meets internal controls guidelines. Primary Responsibilities :
- Studies and collects data to determine costs of manufacturing labor and overhead related activities in order to update the standard costs.
- Analyzes Inventory FIFO Ledgers weekly and make corrections where needed to validate accuracy of Perpetual Inventory.
- Assist in Month end close activities, reconcile raw material, WIP and finished goods Inventory Sub-ledger to General ledger, financial statement review and variance analysis.
- Analyzes actual manufacturing costs and prepares periodic reports for management.
- Makes estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Compiles cost information to be used in operating budget preparation.
- Identify cost efficiencies in new product layouts.
- Provides management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
- Assisting in the daily recording of monthly journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of various monthly financial reports for the corporate office.
- Support Physical Inventory Count process.
- Support weekly cash forecast process.
- Update standards, bill of material, and unit cost rates based on calculations.
- Performs calculations for monthly obsolete and excess inventory reserves, and quarterly LCM reserves.
- Perform Cost-Benefit Analysis to aid Plant management decision making.
- Lead/support continuous improvement and innovation efforts.
- Performs other ad-hoc analysis and requests, including special projects. And other duties as assigned.
