Job Description:
This role is for a resource to test changes in upstream and downstream applications, as we are progressing towards upgrade of Oracle cloud financial ERP and BIB implementation. The testing resource will be responsible for understanding the changes in business which are being implemented & tested; understanding test objectives, test plans/scripts; executing assigned test scripts by performing test and validation steps as required, identifying and logging defects, and working with tech partners to resolve issues; reporting results of testing activities to onshore process team members; strong understanding of Oracle cloud; understanding of system mappings and preferable experience in any previous projects. This resource will also be working as a bridge between projects and other key teams i.e. technology, Operations, Middle office and other stakeholders. This role is focusing on APAC, US and EMEA GL based projects.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out all activities related to testing – test scripts, test plans, test execution
- Serves as a seasoned/proficient operational resource as well as providing strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
- Must be a self-motivator and a quick learner, able to work well under tight deadlines while maintaining high levels of accuracy
- Must be able to lead team (If needed but this is an individual contributor role) and conduct meetings among key teams and work as a bridge for various project deliverables
- Proven ability to work with system tools in complex environments and good understanding of GL/AP & FA modules
- Displays ease with communication with various business partners at all levels in a clear and concise manner
- Must have good experience of Data Migration from legacy to target GL
- Fair understanding of technical functionalities and ability to work with technology partners to resolve technical issues
Mandatory Skills:
- Strong Finance background, Commerce Graduate or Post Graduate
- 10 - 12 years operational accounting, Projects or finance experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (particularly MS Excel/PPT)
- Excellent communications/presentation skills
- Ability to follow test scripts and execute test routines
- Good documentation skills to capture test results and report them to onshore process team
- Good analytical skills and ability identify/raise questions
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Good knowledge of ERP solutions (Oracle, etc.) particularly with general ledger
- Ability to understand complex business processes and breakdown to process components
- Understanding of GL transaction posting and reconciliation
- Knowledge of HP Quality Center
- Good understanding of data analysis
Work Time
Shift 12:30 PM to 9:30 PM or 11:30 PM to 8:30 PM
